We are currently seeking a consultant to fill the position of Partnerships and Reporting Associate with our Partnerships, Communication and Advocacy unit based in Tanzania.
CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE
The Partnerships, Communications, and Advocacy Unit of WFP Tanzania is responsible for mobilizing resources, strengthening partnerships, leading advocacy efforts, and coordinating reporting and communication activities to meet corporate and donor requirements.
The position plays a dual role, supporting both:
• Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting, and
• Partnerships and donor engagement
The job holder will contribute to the development and presentation of a clear, accurate, and consistent overview of WFP’s programme portfolio and results to inform decision-making. In parallel, the role will support the effective positioning of WFP with public, private, and external partners through high-quality reporting, analysis, and engagement, contributing to resource mobilization and strategic partnerships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Reporting & Information Management
Lead the preparation and drafting of high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual donor and corporate reports, ensuring compliance with WFP standards and contractual obligations.
Support the preparation and drafting of the Annual Country Report (ACR) and other corporate reporting exercises by coordinating inputs across programme, M&E, logistics, and resource management units.
Collect, consolidate, and analyze programme data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and coherence of performance information.
Support the development and maintenance of information management tools, databases, and reporting systems.
Contribute to the production of dashboards, summaries, and data visualizations to strengthen decision-making.
Support the compilation and dissemination of Essential Elements of Information (EEI) to provide a clear operational picture of programme performance and resource utilization.
B. Partnerships & Donor Relations
Prepare high-quality briefs, talking points, presentations, and speeches for senior management engagement with donors and partners.
Support donor visibility requirements and ensure compliance with partner conditions.
Assist in partner mapping, profiling, and tracking of funding opportunities and pipelines.
Contribute to the drafting of concept notes, proposals, reports, and partnership documentation.
Support engagement with public, private, and multilateral partners, including coordinating meetings and follow-up actions.
Gather and analyze partner intelligence, including trends and forecasts, to inform strategic engagement.
Liaise with internal units to gather programme inputs and ensure alignment across reporting and partnership efforts.
Prepare materials for key meetings, including donor consultations, working groups, and coordination platforms.
Ensure integration of cross-cutting priorities, including gender, protection, and accountability to affected populations (AAP), in reporting and partnerships outputs.
Perform other related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Demonstrates general knowledge of information management best practices, tools, and processes, with an understanding of their application in humanitarian or development contexts.
Shows a basic understanding of government and partner priorities, with experience supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Experience in identifying partnership opportunities and contributing to the development of collaboration frameworks or proposals.
Experience in data analysis and use of digital tools to generate insights and support reporting and partnerships.
Proven ability to support the development of external communications materials, reports, and briefs.
EDUCATION:
Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications, Information Management, or a related field;
OR
First University degree with additional years of relevant experience and/or training.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three or more years of relevant professional work experience in partnership, programme policy or reporting and information management roles.
LANGUAGE: Fluency (level C) in the English language.
